What will be the effect of increased climate change in Whatcom County? What can we do to mitigate it?
As a community, we are experiencing the impacts of climate change – it is past time to take inventory of those impacts, and what we can do to mitigate them. David Roberts, Principal at Kulshan Services, will show some surprising slides of the warming climate’s impact here in our community and will offer some steps to mitigate these challenges.
Following the presentation by Mr. Roberts, representatives from the Bellingham Climate Action Plan Task Force and Whatcom County Climate Impact Advisory Committee will give us updates on their findings and action plans. Bring your questions for these city and county citizen advisory groups and learn more about their plans for mitigating climate change impacts in Bellingham and Whatcom County, as well as steps we can all take individually.
