Join the League of Women Voters® of Bellingham/Whatcom County and Bellingham Public Library for a free educational program and community discussion of Higher Education at a Crossroads: Challenges & Opportunities. Doors open at 9:30am.

This program will examine current challenges faced by colleges and students, and how colleges are addressing these challenges:

  • Who is going to college and who is not?  
  • Why are college dropout rates so high? Can they be reduced?
  • Is a college degree worth the cost? Who benefits most?
  • Is it possible to preserve access, improve student outcomes, and keep college affordable?
