Upcoming Election: Look Out For Videos!

On July 16 the Auditor’s Office will be mailing out ballots for the primary elections that will end on August 5. 

All voters will be choosing among three or four candidates for positions on the County Council and the Port Authority, and citizens in Blaine and Sumas will be choosing among candidates for their city councils. 

The Forum Team is already hard at work interviewing all these candidates, to help voters decide which candidates move forward to the fall elections.,

Last year the Team took the risky step of forgoing our traditional candidate forums in favor of short individual interviews conducted on Zoom and posted on our League website.  The result was convincing: many more people watched the resulting candidate videos than had attended in-person or Zoom forums in this post-Covid time. 

The Team hopes to repeat that success this year.
