Village Books has very generously donated over $7,000 from their Round Up program. Customers had the chance to Round Up the cost of their purchases in September, October and the first part of November. They featured the LWVBWC in the Chuckanut Reader which goes out to 11,000 of their best customers. Their employees took an active part in this effort by learning about our organization so they could engage with customers. They have resumed the program in January through February so you still have time to make a purchase and Round Up for our League.
They have also included the League in their latest Play the Puzzle activity. Customers can ask at the information counters in the Fairhaven and Lynden stores to play their Great History Mystery Puzzle Hunt. Village Books has teamed up with Cryptid Escapes to put this fun in-store game together. While playing, customers will learn about Whatcom County and the League of Women Voters of Bellingham and Whatcom County!
