Shout out to Kim Finger
Kim Finger “found her people.” In 2024 when Kim Finger retired from nursing, she decided to get more politically active. Following in the footsteps of her parents, the League of Women’s Voters was her obvious choice. In true Kim style she jumped right in and, in nothing flat, volunteered to co-lead the League’s Healthcare Issue Team.
Watch this video and you’ll understand why longtime member Sheri Lambert said “Kim is one of the most energetic people I have ever met.” Her Healthcare Team co-lead, Mary Lynne Courtney, expressed her gratitude with “I appreciate her fair-minded approach to issues, her willingness to consider other perspectives, and her always respectful interactions with everyone. She is a joy to work with.”
A huge thank you to Kim for her contribution to the work and community of our league.

Shout out to Paula Rotondi & Jean Scribner
A shout out to two of our former and longtime volunteers Paula for all the work that she initiated and continued at Whatcom community college for the past 8+years. Shout out to Jean Scribner for the past 9+ years she worked with all Whatcom public high schools and private/alternative, setting up events. Also, going to classrooms when teachers asked for more information on voting.
To both Paula and Jean, THANK YOU, I will miss you both, you were my go-to for advice and help. Jean and Paula, we will miss your dedication and energy. However, I know they both will stay involved and help when they can.
