Advocacy Team update

We had a great campaign kick-off at our Member Meeting Aug. 29th as we joined No Hate in WA State to advocate for a NO vote on IL26-001 and IL26-638. Over 45 individuals came together to learn and share about the harm these initiatives can do for all students in our state. See the event video here.

Many thanks to our speakers, panelists, and all our mighty advocates who took yard and window signs, who signed up to write letters to the editor and who offered to send out postcards.

Over 500 postcards will be mailed the second week of Oct. with the message, “I am voting NO on these harmful initiatives because every Washington student deserves privacy, dignity and safety. I hope you’ll join me.”

However, our work is not done until election day. Take the time to learn about these initiatives, talk to your friends, family and neighbors and get out to vote. For more information, go to: www.lwvwa.org
