LWVBWC's annual member meeting on June 28 will feature two hours of business, celebration, and guest speaker Daniel Chard, WWU Assistant Professor of History, speaking about "Shadows of McCarthyism".
It might seem like dire times, but we survived the McCarthy era. Is there hope for the future?

Daniel S. Chard is a history professor at Western Washington University, where he teaches courses on U.S. and Pacific Northwest history. He is the author of Nixon's War at Home: The FBI, Leftist Guerrillas, and the Origins of Counterterrorism (University of North Carolina Press, 2021.
