Celebrate World Rivers Day

Twenty local poets will be reading. All these poets took part in Friday’s Art walk (9/4) where the Whatcom Museum, League of Women Voters and Salish Current engaged a vital discussion on environmental stewardship focused on sharing water.
These selected poets will read their poems about “Sharing Water “ and how it gives us a world of a future where can live well in community. And there will be an open mic for short 3-minute presentations for others to sign up at the door.
This world-wide celebration of waterways and earth originated with a Burnaby, BC Canadian 15 years ago. It now includes 100 countries and a million people.)
